John Swinney puts EU membership at heart of general election campaign and endorses Mark Carney world view.
In a speech at Edinburgh University on 28th January, First Minster John Swinney, put Scotland in the EU at the heart of the 2026 Scottish General Election campaign. Mr Swinney said:
“I want to be absolutely clear here. For the sake of our security and our prosperity, Scotland returning as swiftly as possible to membership of the EU must be a core national priority – and should be a shared national purpose.”
