‘Our Star’ was created to promote European values, with an emphasis on peace and unity. In autumn 2023 the Star left its home at the European Parliament in Brussels and was touring its way across the UK.
Between 18th and 30th of November, the star was making its way around Scotland, marked by a series of events, planned by the European Movement in Scotland in partnership with local groups, to raise awareness of the negative impact of Brexit on our society and shine a light on our youngest citizens and the freedoms they have lost as a result of Brexit.
On 24th November 2023 the Star was in Stirling where a public forum event was held, featuring MPs Alyn Smith (SNP) and Wendy Chamberlain (Lib Dem) as well as former MEP Julie Ward (Labour).
