Brexit’s impact on the UK’s music industry (Festival of Europe)

27 January 2022, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Festival of Europe webinar to discuss the impart of Brexit on the UK’s music industry.

The music industry has been one of the UK’s major success stories in recent times, but Brexit threatens this success.

Brexit has had a major impact on the ability of UK musicians and their essential support staff to continue to perform in the EU and has similarly impeded EU performers wishing to bring their entertainment to the UK. Small and up-and-coming acts have been particularly hard hit, as they lack the resources to overcome the barriers that have been erected by Brexit.

  • Howard Goodall CBE, BAFTA and EMMY award-winning composer
  • Anna Patalong, award-winning soprano
  • Julian Azkoul Artistic Director of United Strings of Europe
