Retained EU Law Bill webinar: Caroline Lucas/Mhairi Snowden with European Movement UK

Join the European Movement UK for a webinar to hear from veteran campaigners including Caroline Lucas MP and Mhairi Snowden from Human Rights Consortium Scotland on the risks of the Retained EU Law Bill, and the best ways to campaign against it.

In the House of Commons last week, MPs voted against amendments to delay the Retained EU Law Bill. This means that, as it stands, the Retained EU Law Bill will come into effect on December 31st, 2023, jeopardising the standards that keep us safe.

We don’t have much time. It’s vital that we keep working to stop this law over the coming weeks, before it comes back to Parliament for a final vote.

The ‘Retained EU Law Bill Webinar’ will be an open conversation where you will have the opportunity to ask questions on ways the bill could directly impact your area. This could include workers’ rights, environmental standards and food safety.

We are in the Battle for the Soul of our Country. But together we can ‘Save our Standards’ and stop the implications of Brexit from being taken further.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS

CAROLINE LUCAS has been the MP for Brighton Pavilion since 2010. A leading campaigner on topics including the environment and animal rights, Caroline is a former Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales and a former MEP for South East England. Caroline is a Vice President of the European Movement UK.

MHAIRI SNOWDEN is Director of the Human Rights Consortium Scotland, a network of over 170 member organisations from across civil society. They work together on projects or research on specific issues, as well as influencing policy and law.
