Should Labour align its trade policy to facilitate re-engagement with EU?

For the UK to re-engage with the EU our trade policies will need to align, which is one reason by the Tories are so keen to conclude new trade deals even if they bring no economic benefit, and in some cases actually harm UK industries. What should Labour do in response to this – and what should our future trade policy be?
