The future UK EU relationship (Conference, Independent Commission on UK-EU Relations)

13/02/2024, 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

The UK’s departure from the EU has led to dramatic change not just to the UK economy and the country’s trading relationships, but also in security and defence, police and judicial cooperation, health and social care, migration, climate, and the UK’s place in the world.

This one day conference will examine some of those changes in detail, discuss the differentiated impact of the current relationship with the EU on specific sectors of activity, and will suggest ways ahead for the UK and EU which could improve collaboration and outcomes for both sides.

The day will be led by the Independent Commission on UK EU Relations and the UCL European Institute, working in partnership with organisations including the Europa Institute, the Centre for Britain and Europe (Department of Politics, University of Surrey) and Musicians Union.
