This event will be chaired by Mark Lazarowicz, Chair, European Movement in Scotland. Supporters will hear from:
Mikhail Kirilyuk, a key member of the Belarus Anti-Crisis Management whose goal is to ensure the peaceful end of powers by the illegitimate governing authorities and the subsequent stabilisation of the country’s governance system after the transfer of power to the people.
A lawyer from Viasna, the Human Rights Centre in Belarus, a non-governmental organisation, created in 1996.
Members of the Belarusian community in Scotland who work with the human rights organisation Libereco and the People’s Consulate of Belarus in Scotland.
We also expect to be joined live with Belarusian peaceful activists who will share their experiences.
After hearing from speakers we will open to questions and consider how Scotland can join the European Movement International and extend support and solidarity to the people of Belarus who seek a brighter future, as well as let Lukashenko’s illegitimate government know that no amount of repression, brutality or coercion will bring legitimacy to their authoritarian regime.
This webinar will NOT be recorded, so please register to watch it live.
We will be using #WeStandBYyou and #StandWithBelarus on Twitter.
