Getting Brexit Undone: Federal Trust

21 July 2022, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

We are pleased to invite you to our forthcoming webinar where Professor Andrew Blick will present his new Federal Trust report Getting Brexit Undone:

Getting Brexit Undone

Thursday, 21st July 2022
17.00 – 19.00 (BST)

“Rejoining is the only satisfactory means of addressing the manifest problems caused by Brexit…When faced with growing harm, the time to commence reversing the action that has caused it is now.”

At this webinar, Professor Andrew Blick of King’s College London will present his new Federal Trust report, “Getting Brexit Undone”.

In it, he calls on the Opposition parties at the next election radically to change direction and issue a joint statement committing themselves to the reversal of Brexit and to wide-ranging constitutional reform.

This joint statement should contain commitments to Proportional Representation, to decentralisation of government within the UK and to rejoining the EU.

Responding to these ideas will be Denis MacShane, former Labour Minister for Europe and author of, among others, “Must Labour Always Lose?” and “Brexiternity – The Uncertain Fate of Britain”.

The webinar will be chaired by Brendan Donnelly, Director of the Federal Trust. There will be plenty of opportunity for questions and discussion.
