EU’s place in the new geo-economic order (EM International)
27/10/2021, 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Online discussion organised by the European Movement International.
By bringing together participants from business, the EU institutions, civil society organisations and trade unions, this 60-minute panel event will be an opportunity to discuss the recent developments and future challenges of the EU’s internal market vis-à-vis the international arena.
Globalisation enables global exchanges of strategic flows such as commodities, data, capital, goods, and services as well as the free movement of people. The transmission corridors, however, are subject to multifold government and non-government interests which can be subject to strategic political influence. Immunising Europe from such influence provides risks and opportunities.
Panel:
- Heidi Hautala MEP, Vice-President of the European Parliament, Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance
- Oleksandr Pysaruk, CEO, Raiffeisen Bank Aval Board
- Dmitri Trenin, Director, Carnegie Moscow Center
Moderated by Heiko Borchert, Owner and Managing Director, Borchert Consulting & Research AG
