Europe Day Concert: Christine Bovill

Award winning chanteuse, Christine Bovill, returns to the French Institute in Edinburgh to celebrate Europe Day 2025.

The Glasgow-born singer, “Scotland’s pre-eminent chanteuse” (Herald Scotland) has built her reputation on her interpretation of Chanson Francaise and classic 20th century songs. With the release of her self-penned albums, ‘Derby Street’ and ‘The Sentence That I Serve’ she revealed a major talent as a songwriter. Her work has been featured on stage, tv and film.

Christine will perform an intimate evening of song, singing in French, Italian and German, as befits the occasion! Expect a vibrant collection of some of Europe’s greatest songs of the 20^th century – all bound together by her remarkable voice.

30% of all ticket sales will be donated by the French Institute to good causes. On 8^th May, the beneficiary will be French Benevolent Society of Scotland, and on 9^th May, the beneficiary will be the Citizens Rights Project charity.
