Edinburgh Euro Walk for EU Citizens’ Rights

We are the Citizens Rights Project, the leading organization in Scotland for all EU nationals in need to secure their rights.
We are organizing a fundraising walk around those sights and locations in Edinburgh that highlight the historical contributions European citizens have made to Scotland/ the historical links among European Citizens and Scotland.
We will be visiting places around central Edinburgh, some of which are already known for their European connections, and some others which you may never have realized are interlinked to European heritage/ history.
Amongst the places we will visit are ones with a connection with France, Netherlands, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Spain, Germany, Spain, Belgium, Italy, Ukraine, and Portugal – and perhaps a few other countries as well! You can do the walk in a group led by our expert guide, or on your own with our self-guided route.
It won’t all be about dry historical details- we will also be visiting locations with a contemporary European vibe!
The total duration of the walk will be about one and a half hours, which will allow a reasonably leisurely walk. The entire route can be undertaken ‘step-free’.
(In the event of bad weather, the route may be varied).
The charge for each participant is £10, and all money raised will go directly to the Citizens’ Rights Project. Find more information about the work of the Citizens Rights Project here: https://citizensrightsproject.org/
We will meet at 11 am on Saturday 14 October, at a central Edinburgh location. Details will be provided to those who book a place. The start and end points are both less than 15 minutes’ walk from Edinburgh Waverley station, with good bus and cycle links also.
