Nordic reactions to the Russian invasion of Ukraine (Nordic Horizons)
10/03/2022, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Online event organised by Nordic Horizons
What do Russia’s immediate Nordic neighbours – Finland and Norway – want to see happen in the wake of Putin’s invasion of Ukraine? Should NATO react or has expansion already given Putin a useful pretext for aggression?
All eyes are on Ukraine, Belarus and the Baltic Republics as the Russian President threatens further military action. But the confrontation-avoiding, peace-keeping Nordic nations are also on high alert.
Would Russian military action against one Nordic nation or Baltic neighbour produce a military response by all of Scandinavia? Can Finland’s long-standing neutrality policy survive? Is NATO about to gain two new Nordic members – or is this being hyped up by countries like the US and UK which might have their own motives and agendas?
