DESCRIPTION:A legal\, peaceful\, fun and family friendly march and rally through iconic parts of London\, starting at Park Lane and ending with a pro stage and excellent speakers (TBA) at the dynamic and modern Rally on Parliament Square. \nWith our third annual event\, our aim is to get the attention of the media and politicians to put #RejoinEU on the agenda\, and then keep it there until we’re back where we belong… in the EU. \nSince the end of World War 2\, European countries coming together politically and economically has worked to keep the peace.  We want to ensure that continues for our future generations\, the ones who never got to vote in 2016 and now want to be heard! \nSo come and join us on Saturday 28th September 2024 in London and be a part of history! \n\nPark Lane\, 1pm\, March Sets Off \nParliament Square\, 3pm\, Rally Starts \n4:30pm\, Estimated End Time \nMore details here.

DESCRIPTION:Please show your support for the people of Ukraine by joining a mass rally for peace taking place in St Andrews on Wednesday 30 March 2022. \nThe University of St Andrews will be supporting the efforts of our students\, staff\, local residents and others to make their voices heard in a direct response to the call from the President of Ukraine for worldwide rallies and protests against the war. \nWhere: Gather on Lower College Lawn at 5.15pm on Wednesday\, ahead of a march to West Sands\, or meet us on West Sands at 5.45pm if you’d prefer. Paul Northway will be present with the Fife4Europe Banner \nWhat: At West Sands we’ll form a single human line\, as long as possible\, as a visible display of opposition to the war and the aggression of the Russian government.  \nHow: We’ll capture this moment with aerial photography and encourage it to be shared widely online. Wear the blue and yellow of the Ukrainian flag if you can. Everyone taking part will be provided with a replica of the flag\, or the sunflower symbol. \nWho: All are welcome. St Andrews is a small community\, but its geography means we have a chance to make a statement which belies our size. The event is supported by the University\, Refugee Action St Andrews\, the Students’ Association\, and the Rector’s Committee. Please share event information as far and wide as possible. SUMMARY:Scottish artists for Ukraine
DESCRIPTION:As Putin’s brutal invasion\, and the humanitarian tragedy in Ukraine continues to unfold\, it becomes ever more difficult to watch from afar. We\, as small group of artists from Scotland\, felt that it was important to come together to show our solidarity with the artists and people of Ukraine.\nRussian and Ukrainian people value culture deeply. We want to use culture to shame the Russian Government; to express solidarity with our colleagues in Ukraine\, and in particular those in Edinburgh’s twin city of Kyiv; and to show support for dissident Russian artists who have had the courage to stand in public against Putin’s war.\nThe plan is for us to protest outside the Russian Consulate on Melville Street in Edinburgh on the 9th of March at 12- 1 pm. We want to use the power of art (music\, song\, readings and visuals) to send a strong message of communal support from Scottish artists to Ukraine. We want your presence and need your help.\n\n\nProtest outside the Russian Consulate General in Edinburgh.\n\nWhat can you do?\n· First and foremost simply be there on the 9th of March\, with flags\, with visuals\, with your strong voice.\n· Wear or bring something Yellow or Blue\n· Encourage everyone you know in your networks to be there.
